The Zambian Diaspora play an important role in the economic development of the country. Beyond their well-known and notable role as senders of remittances, the Diaspora also promote tourism, trade and foreign direct investment, create businesses as well as spur entrepreneurship, and transfer new knowledge and skills. It is in recognition of this potential that, in April 2019, Her Honour Mrs. Inonge M. Wina, M. P., Vice President of the Republic of Zambia, launched the National Diaspora Policy in order to enhance the participation of the Diaspora in the development agenda of the country. Read more.
