The Mission is headed by Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary with accreditation to the five Nordic countries and the three Baltic States.

Diplomatic relations between Zambia and Sweden were established in 1965 to promote and protect Zambia’s interests between the two countries and maintain good international relations.

The goal of the Embassy is to safeguard Zambia’s interests and promote Economic Diplomacy through political, economic and socio-cultural ties with Sweden as well as Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway in order to achieve sustainable development.

The Embassy has continued to engage in activities that promote and encourage businesses in the Countries of Accreditation to invest in Zambia’s rich and abundant resources and conducive business environment and opportunities.
