On 24th November, the Embassy working in collaboration with Sweden Africa Chamber and the Zambia Development Agency (virtually) held a Business Breakfast Forum which was attended by 14 Swedish Business representatives from various sectors. The main purpose of this event was to showcase the investment opportunities.
In her opening remarks the President of Sweden Africa Chamber Ms Åsa Jarskog welcomed the participants pointing out that, her organisation was delighted to have hosted the event in collaboration with the Zambian Embassy and the Zambian Ambassador to the Nordic and Baltic States Her Excellency, Gladys Neven Lundwe thanked Sweden Africa Chamber for collaborating with the Embassy in organising the event.
The Ambassador further pointed out that it was delighting to see a diversified group of participants showing interest in Zambia’s investment opportunities. She noted that the aim of the event was through the Zambia Development Agency to show participants investment opportunities available in Zambia. The Ambassador informed the participants that the new Government was focusing on fighting corruption and economic diplomacy to improve the lives of the Zambian people.
Ambassador Lundwe further assured the participants that the Embassy would always remain open to engage entities or individuals in a more detailed approach on their specific areas of interest after the event.
She urged the participants to make the right choice by making Zambia their next destination for investment as it has become one of the best destinations in Africa for Investments because of the best economic policies that the Government has put in place under the leadership of His Excellency, Mr Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia.
