The Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Sweden, Her Excellency Ms. Gladys Neven Lundwe held a meeting with representatives of the National Board of Trade Sweden at the Mission in Solna, Sweden on 11th September, 2025.

The delegation was represented by Ms. Jenny Ikelberg and Mr. Oscar Tollin who outlined the roles and functions of the institution.

The National Board of Trade Sweden (Kommerskollegium) is the Swedish Government agency responsible for issues related to foreign trade, the internal market, and trade policy. It is an authority on international trade and provides policy analysis and advice, as well as guidance to promote open and sustainable trade.

As Sweden’s hub for trade-related knowledge and coordination, the Board works closely with ministries, businesses, European Union institutions, and international organizations to ensure that Swedish trade policies contribute to an open, fair, and sustainable global economy.

Ambassador Lundwe thanked the delegation for the visit and expressed her hope for continued collaboration with the Swedish authorities.

The delegation also indicated that they were planning a trip to Zambia during the last quarter of 2025 to explore possibilities of a new programme on investment in the Lobito Corridor with the Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry as the previous programme on technical regulations draws to a close of 2025.
