STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – 12TH JULY 2025
Her Excellency Gladys Neven Lundwe, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the Kingdom of Sweden, addressed members of the Zambian diaspora and invited guests during the Kwacha Nordic Association event held on Saturday, 12th July 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden.
In her remarks, Ambassador Lundwe warmly acknowledged the presence of her counterpart, Her Excellency Ambassador Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga of the Republic of Zimbabwe, alongside distinguished guests, friends of Zambia, and members of the Zambian community across the Nordic region.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Kwacha Nordic Association for organizing the event, commending their initiative as a meaningful platform that fosters unity, cultural exchange, and connectivity among Zambians living in the diaspora.
“In line with our national motto ‘One Zambia, One Nation,’ unity remains a cornerstone of our identity. I encourage all of you to continue building a strong, inclusive, and supportive community through social, cultural, and professional activities,” she said.
Ambassador Lundwe further emphasized the importance of close collaboration between the Zambian Embassy and the diaspora community, noting that the Embassy is accredited to eight countries in the Nordic and Baltic regions and maintains an open-door policy to serve all Zambian nationals.
“As Zambians abroad, we are all ambassadors of our beloved country. Let us fly our flag high by upholding national values, promoting our culture, and making positive contributions wherever we live,” she said.
She concluded her remarks by wishing the community a joyful celebration and encouraged continued interaction and engagement with one another.
